Get on board to get out of the world

This is the name of the spectacular Gulf of La Spezia,
between Portovenere to the west and Lerici to the east.
It is called so because it was the destination of several artists such as Montale, Wagner and Lord Byron,
who were struck by its suggestive beauty and inspired by its views.
It is always a perfect destination for a weekend in any season of the year:
in winter and in summer, its particular microclimate,
the pastel shades of villages and the blue of the sea are combined
with the innumerable colours of the hills and valleys that frame this fragment of coast.
