CORNIGLIA

Unlike the other villages of the Cinque Terre,
it is the only village that does not face directly onto the sea,
but is located on the top of a promontory surrounded by vineyards cultivated on terraced land.
On these hills, as well as throughout the territory of the 5 terre,
an excellent Vermentino and Schiacchetrà are producted.

Schiacchetrà is a kind of passito produced in very small quantities that boasts a thousand-year history.
